Nicknamed "Rooster" in his childhood, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lamar Adair and Mary Drennen Doolittle Adair; wife, Patrica Mae Morgan; and brothers, Charles, Homer, and Floyd.
Bill was married to Pat for 54 years. He was a proud U.S. Air Force sergeant during The Korean Conflict, worked for U.S. Steel for 33 years, was employed with The Birmingham News for 10 years, and was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church for 62 years.
Bill is remembered as a loving husband, father, and Papa. He is survived by his son, William "Mark" Adair, Jr. (Jill); daughter, Julie Sullivan (Randy); three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Bill enjoyed, fishing, golf, and travel. He was a friend to so many.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by A Service of Remembrance at 11 a.m. at the funeral home's chapel. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Dr. Reid Crotty and Rev. Mike Holly will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Bluff Park United Methodist Church.
