Sherri "Christy" Christina (Higgins) Haynie

Sherri Christina (Christy) (Higgins) Haynie was born on February 4, 1975 to the union of Stanley Wayne Higgins and Jimmie Lee (Salter) (Higgins) McCown in Birmingham, Alabama. Christy received her diploma at Erwin High School in Center Point, Alabama. She was employed by Mcgriff Insurance Services as a client service specialist for 13 years. Christy enjoyed crafting, spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, shopping, rooting for the Tennessee Vols, watching the tv show Friends and getting her nails done. She was a loving wife, perfect mother of two, the best sister, caring aunt, sweet friend, loving daughter, and overall an amazing person and loved by everyone who knew her.

Sherri Christina (Christy) (Higgins) Haynie is preceded in death by her mother Jimmie Lee (Salter) (Higgins) McCown Her Step dad Michael Wayne McCown and her step sister Tammy Ann (McCown) Kane.

Survivors she leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter Peyton Haynie, her loving son Chase Haynie, her ex husband and best friend Larry Haynie her sister Ashley Mize (Jeremy) her brothers Patrick McCown (Sandra) Mike McCown JR (Johnetta) her nephews Noah and Bentley Mize, her dad Wayne Higgins (Susan) and many friends whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held at Southern Heritage on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 12pm to 1 pm with a funeral service beginning on May 23, 2023 at 1pm.
