So sorry to hear of Ron's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very difficult time .
Ron and I were stationed together many years ago at Laredo AFB . After he left the Air Force to fly for Delta he was instrumental in my doing the same. Over the many years that we both flew for Delta we would cross paths frequently . He was always so happy to stop and reminisce about our pararell  careers .  A good and honest man !

Reb Jones and I Arrived at Laredo USAF, TX in late 1962. We were killing time while waiting for our PIT course at Randolph AFB. We got checked out in the T-33 and flew a few flights together. We wound up in the same flight, Capt. Bird's T-37 flight.  Reb and Frances were two fine friends. I always liked playing golf, basketball and softball with Reb, who was a great athlete. Reb was best man at Nancy and My wedding in 1973. We know Reb made a smooth landing in Heaven.  
My thoughts and prayers are  with Frances, Eddie, Betsy and the rest of the family.

Ron "Reb" Jones was a USAF T-37 instructor pilot at Laredo AFB (TX) when I signed in there on 2 January 1964 . Reb was one of the pilots that I looked up to. He also was a really good athlete. He and wife Frances were one of the nicest couples Bonnie and I knew on the base. Lots of great southern hospitality; lots of good memories with them at Laredo. I kept touch with Reb for many years. It was an honor to serve with Reb. I am sure he will be one of God's angels. He was always a disciple of Christ on earth; he is well qualified for service in heaven! I hope he looks out for me while I'm still here on earth. With sincere empathy and respect to Frances and the entire family. God Bless!   

Ron is going to be missed tremendously. He was a great opponent, on and of the court/field! One of the kindest men I know. Prayers for the family.

Reb Jones was one of my very best friends at Delta.  Over the years we talked sports for many hours and I never got tired of listening to him and his great stories. I was very blessed to have Reb as a friend. He also made a set of golf clubs for me many years ago. He will be missed. Prayers to the family.

Reb was the instructor pilot who always quizzed the students on their emergency procedures at Laredo FB in 1963.   Rest with your Lord, Reb.

Ron was a wonderful friend to our family. They played basketball  for years. It gave joy and a fun place to go for Richard,Bart,Todd,  “Eddie  and all the “ old guys”  who played at Green Valley.  Ron was a true mentor in the Lord for my boys and girls. I will always be thankful for the influence he  had on our family. A true soldier for  Jesus has gone home.

Ron Jones always had a smile on his face and a Great Big Smile when he saw you . He was a Christian and a heck of a golfer. I had to take a golf class and the only way that Alabama would let me come home and not stay in Tuscaloosa was someone had to take me golfing every week. My mom Jan Krout called Ron and asked him if he would make sure that I played and of course he did . He whipped me badly every single week and I started to hate that game because I could not win against him. I will always remember the patience that he showed me and to this day I am still playing golf and absolutely love the Game. Thank You Ron Jones
