Peyton was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She filled the world with joy, laughter, and light. Matthew 5:16 says “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Peyton was always shining her light.
Peyton was born on April 3, 1988 to Bob and Carol Kirk. Her parents filled her life with love and were her greatest influence in her walk with Jesus. Her brother Preston was a constant support through her life.
Peyton was creative and unique. She loved seasons, holidays, coffee, books, and movies. She could always add a movie quote into every conversation. She was an expert at dressing in a theme for holidays and making every occasion special.
Peyton lived life to the fullest. She loved traveling and was always eager to explore. Peyton was very active and enjoyed spending time outdoors. She played high school and collegiate volleyball, pickleball, and was a ping pong pro.
Every person who knew Peyton considered her a friend. She loved everyone around her and made sure they knew that. Peyton had a sentimental heart and loved creating special traditions, and making memories.
Peyton married Adam Russell in 2020 and they welcomed their son Calvin in August of 2022. Peyton’s greatest joy was being Calvin’s mom. She filled his life with so much love.
Remaining to cherish Peyton’s legacy are her husband Adam Russell, her son Calvin Russell, her parents Bob and Carol Kirk, her brother Preston Kirk (Whitney), and her nephews, Kellen and Dillon Kirk, father and mother-in-law Michael and Michelle Russell, brother-in-law Keaton Russell (Katie), nieces Gwen and Maddie Russell, and brother-in-law Evan Russell (Kaleigh). All of those she loved and touched deeply.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 30 at the Church of Brook Hills in Birmingham, Alabama. A visitation will be held at 12:15 followed by a funeral service at 1:30. A private graveside service will be held at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama
Adam Russell, Michael Russell, Robert Kirk, Preston Kirk, Dave Nielsen and Josh Wilson will serve as pallbearers.
