Patsy Lolita (Smith) Kelley

Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was so proud of her two daughters and four grandchildren and could always be found at a football game, dance competition, basketball game or baseball game supporting them. Spending time with her extended family, church family and bunco friends brought her so much happiness and you could find her every week spending time with all of them. Knowing she is reunited with the love of her life, David, brings us peace and comfort during this difficult time. We can only imagine the joyous reunion they had.

Patsy was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea, AL. She attended and graduated from Phillips High School in Birmingham, AL. She worked as a dental hygienist for many years before becoming a mother.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, John David Kelley and her parents, Frank P. Smith and Betty Jean Kirkland Smith. Survivors include her daughters, Kandice Kelley Thomas and Ashlee Kelley Harper (Christian); four grandchildren, Kirkland and Walker Thomas and Camden and Sullivan Harper; extended loved family Harriet and Jerry Isbell, Jennifer Isbell Tew (Chad, Skylar) and Jeffrey Isbell; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends and a church community who loved her so much.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea, AL. Brother Tim Cox and Rev. Wayne Honeycutt will officiate.
