Born in Los Angeles, California on January 3, 1945, Mike served in the Army Reserves and worked for over 20 years at CNN. Mike is predeceased by his parents, Jack Allen and Rose Eve Cohen.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years LaDonna Cohen, his daughter Leslie Bielanski (and husband Brian Bielanski), his son, Matthew, his grandchildren Alexandra Bielanski and Asher Skye Cohen, his niece Dr. Deborah Dillon Grant (and husband Col. Scott Grant), his nephew Mark Dillion, and his great nephews Robert (and wife Rebecca) and Tyler Grant.
He is also survived by his sister, Rena Davis (and husband Stuart Davis), his niece Anna and Elizabeth, and his nephew Rabbi Alexander.
Mike will be remembered by his love of golf, Elvis and golden oldies, gardening, and watching all sports and old movies, but mostly his wife and family. He will also be remembered by the mentorship he provided through Gamblers’ Anonymous for over 50 years.
