Michael Ralph Hallman, 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a five year battle with cancer. A long time resident of Birmingham, Mike attended Homewood High School and was active at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. Mike was the oldest son of Billy and Estelle Hallman who preceded him in death.
Ross (Terri) Hallman of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Karen (Kevin) Barrett of Murrieta, California are his siblings. Mike married Julie Tate Hallman and they raised three wonderful children, Christopher (Jessica) Schmidt, Stephanie (Benji) Gottlieb, and Andrew (Leslie) Schmidt. He was also "Pops" to six precious grandchildren. Mike and Julie are members of Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
A visitation for Mike will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on July 2, 2020 at 10:00 AM followed by A Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. Graveside service to immediately follow chapel service at Southern Heritage Cemetery. A live stream of the services will be held on the Southern Heritage Funeral Home Facebook page at 11:00 AM, cst.
