Louise Lanell “Nell” Sampson age 92 passed away on December 15, 2015. Born in Birmingham, AL and remained there through high school, moved to Atlanta after buying a business for styling women’s hair. She met her husband Frank in Georgia and both were married in 1949 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Frank was an Army Officer and they traveled to many countries and states before retiring first in Florida and years later in Birmingham. Mrs. Sampson is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Parker and Ruth Hunt; husband Francis A. Sampson. She is survived by her children, Frank Sampson and John Sampson; grandchildren, Katherine Ingram, Mary Margaret Maniar, Lindsey Kyprianou and John Robert Sampson; great-grandchildren, Parker Kyprianou, Owen and Zara Maniar. Family will receive friends on Friday, December 18th from 1:00 until 2:00pm with a graveside service starting at 2pm at Southern Heritage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the First United Methodist Church, Demopolis, AL.
