Emma Lonella Mims McClendon, 68, of Alabaster, AL passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. She was born in Chilton County on January 20, 1946 to the late Emma Lorene Coggins Mims and the late Curtis Absalom Mims. Lonella was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Vera Nell (Clyde) Mims Deavers; brothers, Billy Lawrence (Dorothy) Mims, Donald Rayburn Mims, and Danny Curtis Mims; and a sister-in-law, Judy Melton (Troy) Mims. Survivors include Lonella's son, Ian Patrick McClendon; sisters, Elizabeth Yvonne Mims Reid and Deloris Judene (Harry) Tippett; brothers, Bennie Joel (Ozelle) Mims, Durward Wayne (Anita) Mims, Troy Oneal (Judy) Mims, Carl Guin (Rhonda) Mims, Ricky Layne (Betty) Mims, and Dale Lynn (Rene) Mims; special friends, Patti Chinn, Ethan Michael Stonecipher, Alyssa Renea Chinn, and Frank and Sheila Zito; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
