Jerry Martin Hutchison

Jerry Martin Hutchison, 89, of Pelham, Alabama, passed away June 3, 2023. He was born in Chanute, Kansas on October 24, 1933, and graduated from East High School. He married the former Lois J. Schrader on April 13, 1958.

Jerry worked in magazine publishing for Southern Living Magazine in Birmingham, Alabama for many years. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, Alabama Crimson Tide football, and the Chicago Cubs baseball.

In addition to his wife, Lois, Jerry is survived by his children, Shari Hanson (Tom), Tracy Weber (Mike), Karen Brown, and Kyle Hutchison(Jennifer); grandchildren, Meredith Nguyen, Dirk Hanson, Wyatt Campbell, Gretchen Hutchison, Andrew Hanson, Tommy Hanson, Gunther Hutchison, Danielle Lane, Bella Brown, Cooper Brown, Max Hutchison, Lori Weber, and Patrick Weber; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by A Service of Remembrance for Jerry at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The gravesite committal service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo.
