Jenna Knox Cassese passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023. She was born on December 22, 1932 in San Mateo, Florida and was daughter of Amanda Zilpha Baker Knox and George Edwin Knox. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph N. Casesse; brothers, Edwin Knox, Henry Knox, and Robert Knox; and sisters, Peggy Hooper and Ruth Richter.
Jenna is survived by her children, Joy Jarrard Ewing, Joanna Jarrard Stockard, Allison Jarrard Sanders (John), Judy Cassese Volpe (Jeff), and Thomas Cassese (Diane); as well as 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
Jenna graduated from Mellon High School in Palatka, Florida and Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Secondary Education and English. She retired from Mediplex Healthcare Company as Vice President of Private Psychiatric Hospitals.
Jenna served on the Board of Samford University from 1997-2009, and on the Board of Palm Beach Atlantic University from 1991-1996. She was a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church and Greystone Golf and Country Club.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel in Pelham, Alabama.
