Harold Eugene Harrison Sr., age 84, of Chelsea, Alabama, and formerly of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and Paw Paw, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind a family who will always love and cherish him.
Harold was born January 20, 1937 in Georgiana, Alabama. His education achievements included the Master Degree in Public Health from Tulane University. He enjoyed a long career in Public Health Administration with The State of Alabama.
Harold was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Harrison; his first wife, Mildred Harrison; and his parents, Clarence and Willie Harrison.
Survivors include Harold's wife, the former Linda Kay Smith, to whom he was married on March 10, 2002; children, Rocky Pennington and wife Pam, Mita Frazier and husband Bobby, Eugene Harrison and wife Martha, and Dee Dee Bush; grandchildren, Melissa Wollitz, Geoffrey Houlditch and wife Holley, David Harrison and wife Caleigh, Ben Harrison and fiance Caroline Patterson, Chris Falkner and wife Amy, and Lily Bush; great-grandchildren, Addison Wollitz, Jackson Wollitz, Graham Houlditch, Sawyer Houlditch, Jake Harrison, and soon-to-arrive Baby Harrison; and two sisters, Shirley Burke and Betty Griffith.
Harold's family gathered for the private graveside service on August 21, 2021 at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama.
