Gloria graduated from Marbury High School. She married Paul Chester Culver on October 18, 1942 and launched her career as a faithful homemaker.
Gloria, a member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster, Alabama, enjoyed wildbirds, flower gardening, and Atlanta Braves Baseball.
Preceding Gloria in death were her husband, Paul; her parents, Mary Rogers Donovan and Walter D. Donovan; one sister, Gladys Wright; and two brothers, Albert Donovan and Durwood Donovan.
Survivors include Gloria's daughter, Janice C. Reed; and brothers and sisters, Doris Johnson, Dennis Rogers Donovan, and James Milton Donovan.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. Celebration of Gloria's Life on Thursday, January 15, 2014 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. Burial, Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale, Alabama.
Memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimers of North Alabama or First Baptist Church of Alabaster Bridge to the Future program.
