He was born in Empire, Alabama on September 16, 1937 to the late Robert and Mamie Levan. A brother, James Levan, also predeceases him.
Frankie attended Corner High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Crosscreek Baptist Church and retired as a printer from Steven’s graphics. He enjoyed attending Alabama athletic events, baseball, fishing, and traveling around the world.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Claudette Levan; two sons, Tim Levan and Stephen Levan along with his wife, Julie McAlevy Levan; and two brothers, Terry Levan and William “Link” Levan.
Visitation will be at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be on Friday, July 31, 2020, at 10:00 am at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with burial following at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama.
