Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Connie Traffica; sons Glenn Traffica (Sherri), James Traffica (Leslie) and Frankie Traffica (Misty); grandchildren Chase (Kayci), Hunter (Eden), Bri, Nick, Kylie (Gerard) and Sam; great grandchildren Skye-Jordyn, Elias, and another on the way; His cousin and life-long friend Frank Roberta; sister-in-law, Eddie Ann Traffica; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Joseph and Rosalee “Lillie” Traffica, his in-laws Earnest A and Marie Robinson, and his brother Charles A Traffica.
Frank was born in Birmingham on May 13, 1947. He graduated from Ensley High School in 1965. He retired after 41 years with the state of Alabama and the city of Birmingham. Frank served seven years in the National Guard. He was most proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them. His grandchildren loved spending time with him as well and will always remember his many jokes. Frank was an avid lover of Panama City Beach. He grew up vacationing there as a child and continued visiting every chance he got. He never met a stranger as he sat by the pool socializing. He also enjoyed listening and singing along to the Oldies, especially Frank Sinatra.
A memorial service will be held at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 3:00 pm with a visitation beginning at 1:30 pm.
