Doris DeWees

Doris Dewbre DeWees was born on November 10, 1929 to the late Doyle William Dewbre and Bertie Nadine Brown in Birmingham, AL. Doris received her formal education at Central High School in Memphis City School System. She furthered her education at Memphis State College. Doris was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and Mensa. She enjoyed reading, painting, needlework, playing Bridge, dancing and spending time with family and friends. She also loved to travel, entertain friends at home, and attend church activities and services.

Doris Dewbre DeWees was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David DeWees Jr.; parents, Doyle William Dewbre and Bertie Nadine Brown; son, Charles David DeWees III and her brother, Doyle William Dewbre Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia DeWees Coyle (George Patrick Coyle) and Catherine DeWees Brogdon; grandchildren, Christine Coyle Granovski (Andrew Granovski), Kelly Coyle Ewart (Dauphin Ewart), Laura Brogdon Smith (Justin Smith) and Sara Brogdon; great grandchildren, Claire Ewart, Emma Granovski, Lucas Smith, Landon Smith, Serenitie Brogdon, Dominic Brogdon and two sisters-in-law, Diane DeWees Mullins and Nancy Bonds Dewbre.
