Diana H. Turner

Diana Hicks Turner was welcomed by her Lord on October 21, 2021. She was born on August 12, 1950 in Florence, Alabama. Over her 71 year adventure, she spread her joy through Florence, Huntsville, and Birmingham, AL; Starkville, MS; Beaumont, TX; San Clemente, CA; and Phoenix, AZ. In her first act, she found success as a Mortgage Loan Officer in Arizona. In a second act worthy of a life of its own, she devoted her life to raising her children and the happiness of her family. She was a second-mother to many, dedicating herself to many hopeful, expecting, and new mothers. She studied at Mississippi State University and completed her degree in History at University of North Alabama. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth D. Turner, Jr.; children, Kathryn (Justin) Stringer and Eric (Lizzie) Turner; grandson, Shepherd Stringer; her mother, Agnes Wylie Hicks; many other beloved family and friends; and her Prayer Warriors. Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124). Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org).
