CLAUDINE NOLES NORTHCUTT was welcomed into her eternal home with Jesus on Sunday, April 30th, 2023. She was born in Nauvoo, Alabama on December 2, 1931 to Claude and Ada Noles. She graduated from Carbon Hill High School in Nauvoo, AL where she was honored as Homecoming Queen. Following graduation, she moved to Birmingham to work in finance at American Bakeries. It was there that she met and then married the love of her life, Clyde Malloyd Northcutt (Lloyd) on February 14th, 1953. She transitioned to work at Dolly Madison Bakeries and then to Rust Engineering where she was honored as employee of the year.
Claudine and Lloyd had two children, Connie Northcutt Popper (Dave) and Scott Northcutt, two grandchildren, Amy Popper Painter (Brandon) and David Matthew Popper and many nieces and nephews. They built a loving family on the cornerstone of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Alabama Football (Roll Tide).
She was a beloved member of Sandusky United Methodist Church and Valleydale Baptist Church, serving and teaching in the children's ministry for many years. She was known for her nurturing love, caregiving spirit and open door hospitality to everyone she met. There was always a place for you at her table…served with a side of her famous fried okra.
Claudine was joyfully reunited in heaven with her parents, her sisters, Christine Hyde, Nellie Odom, Geraldine Olive, Mabel Williams, and Estee Wiggins, her brothers, George, Walter, Bill and James Noles, her son, Scott Northcutt and her grandson, David Matthew Popper.
