Clara F. Carter, age 98, of Chelsea, Alabama passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 13, 2020. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on July 25, 1922. She retired at 62 years old from Eli Lilly Co. She loved to garden and spoil her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her son; Gary D. Carter of Vinton, VA; her father, Frank B. Clemmer and her mother, Clara Belle Clemmer of Roanoke, Virginia.
She is survived by her son, Barry K. Carter of Vinton, Virginia and her daughter, Karen Andrews of Chelsea, Alabama. Her 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
