Candace Marie Jones

Candace Marie Jones was born on December 22nd 1969 to loving parents, Curtis F. Jones and Emma Bell Jones. She was a graduate of Shades Valley High School. She received a Bachelor Social Worker Degree from the University Of Montevallo in 1995.

Candace was currently employed as a Social Worker at Gateway in their Foster Care Services Division. She had been employed there for over 20+ years. She loved working at Gateway and was a very strong supporter of her Foster Kids. She made sure that they got in good homes.

Candace loved her family and loved, believed in and trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She departed this life, to be with her Lord and Savor, on Monday, November 13th 2023, at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama.

To celebrate Candace's life and cherish her memory she leaves her father, Curtis F. Jones and Mother, Emma Bell Jones; stepmother, Margaret Jones; stepsister, Sonya Corley; aunts, Juanita, Deborah and Pearline; uncle Johnny Bell; cousins, Brittany, Jimmy, Joseph, Kobi, Mari, Mario, Kate, Josephine, Damien; and host of relatives and friends.

"The pain of losing a daughter never truly goes away, it only becomes a part of who we are". Forever Loving you Candace, Mommy and Daddy.

A memorial service for Candace will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.
