Anthony Joseph Pitts was born on December 29, 1928 to his parents, Joseph Tony Pitts and Mary Pitts. Anthony was a member of Our Lady of the Valley. Anthony Pitts was married to Clara Pardi and their union was blessed two children. Anthony proudly served their country in the United States Army. He was employed by Norfolk Southern Railway as a carman for 40 years. Anthony Joseph Pitts was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Pitts; one son, Joe Pitts; two sisters, Angelina Lusco and Josephine August. He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Mary Theresa Sparks (Steven); grandchildren, Joshua Sparks (Ashton), Samantha Herrington (Cody), Ryan Pitts, Alex Pitts; sisters, Phyllis Culwell and Vee Brady; great-grandchildren, Oakleigh Sparks, Baylor Sparks, Letty Herrington, Carter Herrington.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Valley on Friday, December 3 at 9:00 am with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
