Anna L. Teats, 80, of D’Iberville, MS, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She retired as a meat wrapper with Jitney Jungle in D’Iberville before coming to live with her daughter Diana in Pelham, AL to undergo cancer treatments. She lost the battle, but gained her Angel wings.
Anna was a devout Catholic who attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville. She was a prayer warrior with a mission for lost souls and suffering children.
Anna was predeceased by her parents, Arcangelo M. Centra and Salvatrice Centra; sisters, Madeline Centra, Lucy Reano, Mary DiMarco, and Rosemarie Teats; and brothers, Vincent Centra, Joseph Centra, Angelo Centra, Anthony Centra, and Salvatore “Sam” Centra.
Survivors include Anna’s two daughters, Diana (Chris) Toth and Mona Gibus; one son, Gordon Teats; grandchildren, Nicholas (Lauren) Toth, Ryan (Ginger) Toth, Joseph (Alicia) Anderson, Brandon (Delilah) Anderson, and Noah (Sabrina) Nabor; great-grandchildren, Madeline and Christopher, Kenzie, Kyle and Drew, Natalie, Marlo, Jolie, Cassius, and Lily-Anna-Louise, Ethan, Jacob and Charlie, Melanie and Draven, and Luna; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at St. Elias Maronite Church in Birmingham, AL, immediately followed by the Mass at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, AL.
