Allison Stephens Daniel

Allison Stephens Daniel passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 66 from cancer. She is survived by her three sons: Lee Daniel (Stefanie), Paul Daniel (Laura), and Chris Daniel (Kayla), her four grandchildren, Annabelle, Rosie, Penelope, Simon, and another grandchild due in August, and her sister, Lisa Stephens Becker. Allison is preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Audrey Stephens.

Allison was born on December 27, 1955, in San Tomé, Venezuela where her father worked for Gulf Oil Company. The family moved frequently as Allison and her sister Lisa were growing up, where they lived in Houston, Tulsa, and Central Florida. After graduating from Lakeview High School in Winter Garden, Florida, Allison attended Auburn University where she graduated with a degree in Pharmacy. She and her family lived in Auburn until the mid-90s when they moved to the Birmingham area. She loved working as a pharmacist in a variety of retail and hospital settings, but her heart was working at Children’s Hospital of Alabama where she worked the last 13 years.

Allison was fiercely independent, compassionate, and loving. She was always doing things to help the people around her. She was an avid dog lover and advocate, bird watcher, nature enthusiast, and an amazing gift giver. She adored her children and grandchildren and was so proud of her three sons.

A memorial service is planned for Friday, March 4, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery with a celebration of life following the service.
