Born August 28, 1951 in Bloomington to John and Dorothy (Baum) Barth, he married Lynn Walker on January 8, 1972 in Havana. She died on January 17, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are two sons, Daryl (Amy) Barth of Morton and Ed Barth of Havana; two daughters, Mary (Robert) Emrick and Julie (David) Brightwell, both of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Sarah, James, Lainey, Carla, Addison, Landyn, David, Madison, and Sofia; one great-granddaughter, Paisley and one brother, Michael (Alice) Barth of Bloomington.
William was a retired machinist for Kifco Ag-Rain in Havana.
He was a dedicated Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He was the owner of Barth Racing program also driving the racecars himself. William was a lifelong, avid bowler. He bowled through the years with his brothers, family, and friends. He would never leave the house without his Hawaiian shirts and denim bibs.
William was a devoted grandfather, he would do anything and go anywhere for his grandchildren.
His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Central Christian Church. 215 S Broadway Street in Havana.
