Born May 26, 1953 in Pekin to Robert William and Marie A. (Simpson) Hacker, she married Paul Douglas Anderson on March 11, 2009 in Hennepin. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Angela “Angi” (Rob Whittaker) Vance of Mahomet; one son, Christopher (Liza) Jones of New Jersey; her father, Robert Hacker of Pekin; two step-daughters, Stephanie Anderson of Lacon and Stacy Anderson of Troy; three granddaughters, Leslie Jones, Hayley Vance and Destinee Gonzalez and three grandsons, Kody Vance, Brayden Christopherson and Sawn Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, William Hacker.
Virginia was a former member of the Central IL Vulcan Riders and Starved Rock ABATE Chapter.
A homemaker, Virginia enjoyed riding motorcycles and participating in fundraising events. She also enjoyed working on computers and attending Prime Time County Opry at Olympia High School. Her greatest enjoyment was spending quality time with her family.
Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Vernon Risner will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday morning at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
