Born November 25, 1961 in Pekin, he was the son of Charles Wesley and Mary Coleen (Temple) Cooper. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Killion.
Surviving are one daughter, Shauna Cooper of Pekin; his life partner, Annette Green of Glasford; two brothers, Ed (Heidi) Cooper of Pekin and Terry (Priscilla) Cooper of Peoria; two sisters, Debra Turner and Kathy Cooper, both of Pekin; maternal uncle, Terry (Dan) Temple of Tucson, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and grandchildren of partnership, Nolan, Kaylee, Carson, and Emma Cox.
A craftsman by trade, Tim had been working for KBL Design Center in Peoria for several years. He was skilled in building and fixing most anything, and he always showed up for anyone who needed his help. Though he would never admit it, he had a huge heart and would be the first to show up to save the day never asking for a single thing in return.
Tim was an avid fan of NASCAR. You could often catch him enjoying the race while having a cocktail at Pottsie’s in Pekin. He was also a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. He has always enjoyed playing golf, especially with his brothers.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Pekin Eagles Lodge. At 6 p.m. the celebration will continue at Pottsie’s to end the night in true “Coop” fashion. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
