Steven Russell Campbell

Born April 27, 1949 in Peoria to Leonard Grant and Maxine (Middagg) Campbell, he married Bonnie Jean Conger on August 28, 1976 at the Orange Chapel Church in Delong. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Amy (John) Matthews of Peoria; two sons, Russell (Meghan Hand) Campbell of East Peoria and Trevor Campbell of Edelstein; six grandchildren, Meagan, Ricki Lynne, Jessica, Balei, Logan and Liam and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, one daughter, Tina Campbell; one grandson, Aiden Russell and one sister, Cynthia Trent.

Steven was a veteran of the United States Army.

He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. as a tool dresser and forger in both Mossville and East Peoria, retiring in 2005.

Steven enjoyed spending time with his family and camping at Allendale Conservation Club in Wyoming.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services at this time.
