Robert O McCleskey

Born July 26, 1947 in Fairfield to Olen and Dora Jane McCleskey, he married Belinda C. Morgan on July 4, 1981 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Heather (Karl) Hedrick of Spring Hill, Kansas and Katie (Andrew) Culler of Pekin; one son, Robert O. (Amanda) McCleskey of Pekin; and five grandchildren, Rachel Hedrick and Elizabeth Hedrick, both of Spring Hill, Kansas, Carissa Culler, Alexander Culler and Addison McCleskey, all of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Olene McCord and Shirley McCleskey.

Robert had worked as a semi-truck driver. He worked the last 13 years for Air-Land in Morton.

He loved having bonfires in his backyard and working on cars and hanging out in his garage. He also enjoyed horseback riding, snowmobiling and riding motorcycles.

His memorial service will be Monday, December 8, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
