Robert Lee Ganson, of Pekin, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the age of 88. Born in Pekin on October 02, 1931 to the late Earl Edward, and Helen Marie Chadwick Ganson, he married Pamela Jean Jewett in Gatlinburg, TN on September 08, 1992, and she survives. Robert was retired from CILCO, and served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, was a volunteer at Pekin Hospital, and was active member of First Baptist Church of Pekin. In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his children, Brian (Tonya) Ganson, Shelly (Eric) Martin; daughter in-law, Donna Ganson; step children, Lori (Dennis), Troy, and Curt; granddaughters, Ashley, Fauna, Rachel; grandsons, Gus, Jared, and Mac; great grandchildren, Braydon, Hailey, Ella, and JJ; and brothers, Chuck (Bessie) Ganson, and Jim (Peggy) Ganson. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rob Ganson; and sisters, Martha, and Rosalee. Due to the current Covid-19 situation, funeral services will be private, with Rev. Vern Risner officiating. Interment will take place at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorials in Robert's name may be made to First Baptist Church of Pekin.
