Born April 5, 1930 in Roanoke to Floyd and Esther (Kenyon) Mishler, he married Barbara McDowell on June 14, 1975 in Missouri. She survives.
Also surviving are one step-daughter, Angela Mantovani of North Pekin; one step-son, Tony (Mary) Mantovani of Pekin; five sons, Robert (Chris Kennedy) Mishler of Monument, CO, Lawrence (Edna) Mishler of Hoffman Estates, James (Patti) Mishler of Cincinnati, OH, David Mishler of St. Louis, MO and Ronald (Shelly) Mishler of Grand Rapids, MI and one daughter, Judith (Bob) Wetzel of Annadale, NJ; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and three sisters.
Bob had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in Morton for 20 years. He also had worked as the Bowling Center manager at Sunset Lanes in Pekin and Crossroads Lanes in Peoria and drove a bus for Peoria Charter Coach.
A diehard Cubs fan, Bob enjoyed his dogs, bowling and socializing. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially poker.
Cremation rites has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services or visitation. Inurnment will be at a later date.
