Richard Osborn

Born September 14, 1966 in Peoria to Richard E. and Sue Ella (Hurt) Osborn, Sr., he married Tina Marie Gulick on September 12, 1992 in Peoria.  She survives.

Also surviving are his father, Richard E. (Tula) Osborn, Sr. of Peoria; one daughter, Jayme Marie (Donald) Russell of Pekin; one son, James Robert Sherlock of East Peoria; three grandchildren, Gavin Hadden, Taylor Stetler and Alivia Stetler; one sister, Lori (Terry) Shambaugh of Lafayette; two brothers, Billy (Kay) Osborn of Pekin and Robert (Ronda) Osborn of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Jackie and Cleatius Garner of Peoria, two very special people in his life.

His mother preceded him in death.

Richard had worked as a cook at Ernie's Family Restaurant in Pekin for years.

He loved to hunt, fish and tend to his garden.  He also loved to cook.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Richard had served his country in the United States Army.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  His graveside service will be private at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, where military rites will be provided.  

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
