He was born December 23, 1951 in Peoria to Garland Eugene and Alice “Jackie” (Habeck) Bacon. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robin Bacon and one niece, Chanel Berardi.
Surviving are one daughter, Raneigh (Steven) Valkovec of Orefield, Pennsylvania; one son, Randy B. (Amanda) Bacon II of Enterprise, Alabama; two grandchildren, Joseph Galio and Randy B. Bacon III; one sister, Julie Berardi of Pekin; four brothers, Shaun (Traci) Bacon, Tim (Ruth) Bacon, Cary Shumate, all of Pekin and Lonnie Bacon of North Pekin.
Randy was a member of the Laborer’s Local #231 in Pekin.
He enjoyed all motor sports, drag racing and working in the pit crew for local racers. He loved riding motorcycles and driving fast cars. Randy was a member of the River City Blues Society and loved Chicago blues. He also loved spending time with grandsons.
His memorial visitation will be 10 a.m. to Noon Friday, January 13, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A gathering celebrating Randy’s life will be held at the Eagle Lodge Arie#1869, 274 Derby Street in Pekin following the visitation.
