Born August 10, 1956 in Pekin to David A. and Janice C. (Jones) Dringenberg, she married Edward Black on October 19, 1972 at the First Christian Church in Pekin. He died March 11, 2022. She was also preceded in death by her father.
Surviving are her mother and step-father, Janice and Ray Edwards; her step-mother, Christy Dringenberg; four children, Edward Black of West Peoria, Jennifer (Levi Smith) Black, Katherine (Jeff Scovil) Black, and Jessica (Shawn) Bouton, all of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Alexander, Austin, Xavier, Addison, Aubrey, Keegan, Aaron, and Jette; one sister, Lynn “Sissy” (Robert) Sallee of Fort Bragg, California; one step brother, Chris (Tina) Edwards of Gurnee and one half-brother, Eric (Melissa) Dringenberg of Pekin.
Mandy had worked as a waitress and in grocery, but her life was dedicated to her family. A homemaker and mother, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and watching both True Crime and Gameshow television. She also enjoyed classic rock, including the local band REO Speedwagon.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No services have been scheduled at this time.
