Michael V Tarlton

Born July 18, 1952 in Harrisburg to Val and Wanda (Thackston) Tarlton, he married Kathie Morris Borgmann on August 14, 1999 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tera Surrells of Lakeland, FL and Dawn Tarlton of Texas; one step-son, Scott (Kim) Borgmann of Pekin; one step-daughter, Nicole “Nikki” (Tim) Walgren of Pekin; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ron (Cathy) Tarlton of Plant City, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kim and one sister.

Michael worked for Caterpillar, Inc. as an assembler for 10 years, last working in 1982. He previously had worked for the TP&W Railroad, had worked on Barges and also at Rocke’s.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR and was a Dale Earnhart, Jr. fan. He loved spending time with his grandkids and his dogs, Cody and Kiwi.

He attended Community Fellowship Church in South Pekin.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
