I am so sorry to hear of  Matt’s passing.  My deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers for you and your families.



I remember our first date was at Walmart and how you would push me to the different store around Pekin to shop daily I will always remember you I will miss you I hope there is shopping up in heaven lol

Matt, 36 yrs ago you came to us 3 months early at 1 lb, 10 ozs.  Mom and decided your name and later looked it up and what it meant (gift of God).  You are. A fighter throughout your life you beat the odds to live.  You never crawled you decided to walked  , rode bike, car,  graduated H.S. all first time around .  Worked at the car wash and had your own lawn service.  Wow.  Your girlfriend who you picked up out of  her wheelchair and  buckled in car.  That is you.  Very kind, smiled,  precious, and lots of love.  Do u have a vacuum u drive in heaven ?  Buffets won’t be the same.  I truely enjoyed our short time.  I miss and love you for eternity, Dad

There are few people in this lifetime that you have an immediate connection, Matt was one of those people for me.  No matter how bad his life may be going at the time, he always had a smile on his face and was wanting to make your day brighter....and he did that for me every time he walked into the room with his sidekick Terry.  Matt was one of purest souls and most giving person I have ever met and this world will not be the same without him.  I will carry you in my heart forever....

I was a neighbor and client of Matt’s. He was so personable and kind, always smiling and wanting to be helpful. May Matt’s family and friends find comfort in knowing the kindness he spread.

I’ve known Matt for 10 years. There are 2 types of people in the world, takers and givers. Matt was definitely a giver. Matt would give you a smile and a greeting every time he saw you. Matt would give you hours of hard work and in exchange all he wanted was a few dollars and your approval. I’m sure if you’d ask him he would have given you the shirt off his back.  I was greeted every time I saw him with “ hey buddy, how are you today?” I’m going to miss that. He was always willing to lend a hand for a neighbor. Our neighborhood won’t be the same without you. 
Until we meet again, so long buddy. 

Oh Phyllis and Penny, My heart breaks for you once again.  Im sending all my love and hugs.  I know Mike will be waiting and probably so happy to see his best buddy again!  There is no need to worry about Matt anymore but I know that doesnt heal the broken heart.  Im so sorry.  

I’ve known Matt for only short of two years but his impact on my life will never be forgotten. You were so much more than someone who cared for the lawn and services for my family. You were someone that through small deeds and kindness left an impact on my life that will never be forgotten. Thank you for being you, thank you for always showing up and thank you for always being the kind of person that we all strive to be. Kind, Loyal and Loving.  I will miss you.  Cheerio will miss you. Thank you Always and Forever for being exactly who you are. 

Matt was the kindest guy you would ever want to meet! He had a heart of gold and his only interest was to please you! I can’t tell you how much he has helped me with so many odd jobs that I can’t imagine not picking up the phone and saying “Matt can you help me out here?” His answer was always “yes Pat I sure can!”  I will miss him so much and send prayers to Penny and Phyllis🙏🙏

Penny and Phyllis, Please accept my sincere sympathy on this great family loss.  Losing such a young love one is very challenging.  I send my best to both of you.

SON, THERE IS A BIG HOLE IN MY HEART THAT WILL NEVER AGAIN BE WHOLE AGAIN. YOU BROUGHT LOVE AND JOY TO MY LIFE AS WELL AS OTHER PEOPLE. YOU HAVE SUCH A PERSONALITY AND THERE WERE QUITE A FEW TIMES I HAD TO WAIT TO LAUGH SO YOU WOULDN'T SEE THAT. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU MEANT TO ME. LIKE YOU SAID WE ARE A TEAM(NOT PACKERS..SMILING). I SEE THESE THINGS HERE WAITING FOR  US TO START WORKING ON FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I WATCHED YOU GROW FROM A 1 LB 10 OZ. BABY BOY TO A GREAT YOUNG MAN. UNCLE  MIKE AND PUPPY WAITED FOR YOU AT THE GATES OF HEAVEN. UNCLE MIKE TOOK YOUR HAND AND LED YOU HOME. I LOVE YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH AND WE'LL SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN. YOU AND UNCLE MIKE SAVE ME A PLACE. I AM NOT SAYING GOODBYE BUT SEE YA. GO PACKERS!!!!!!!

To Matt's Family and Friends, We were one of Matt's yard service clients.   What a great guy.  Matt was so loving and kind and tried so hard to please. He contacted us about two weeks ago to see if he could help with our leaves again this year. It's heartbreaking to know that can't happen now. Our lives are better because we knew him. You're all in our prayers.
