Marsha Harleen Guengerich

Born September 26, 1946 in Pekin to Harland N. and Betty R. (Smith) Wilkinson, she married Richard “Dick” T. Guengerich on June 13, 1964 in Pekin. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2010. Marsha was also preceded by her parents; one granddaughter, Kendra Guengerich and one sister, Sandra Rickgauer-Hunter.

Surviving are one son, Richard (Melinda) Guengerich of Pekin; two daughters, April (Michael) Johnson of Kirksville, Missouri and Angi (Doug) Bremicker of Peoria; six grandchildren, Jannai Johnson, Jewel (Phil) Halloway, Joni Johnson, Clayton (Tiffany Shearer) Guengerich, Irie Stein and Aaron (David Coville) Black and four great-grandchildren, Linkin Johnson and Calvin and Quinton Halloway, and Raiden on the way.

Marsha worked as a licensed beautician, Certified Nursing Assistant, and then as a prep cook for Mardell Manor in Pekin.

She loved animals, especially Silkie chickens, and enjoyed playing board games and watching movies. Marsha also created several colored pencil drawings and loved to laugh and joke with everyone.

No services will be held. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
