He leaves behind his wife Megan and his son Brendan.
Mark married the love of his life Megan Beach on April 18, 2006, in Groveland, IL.
Mark and Megan were inseparable best friends from the day they met 20 years ago to the time he died in her hands at home.
Mark was a great family man, with a passion for animals. All that knew him could tell you he was a jokester, a true comedian at heart. You would never be able to go long around Mark without cracking a smile.
He work for Charlie’s Aquarium for many years and everyone could see he was someone who was very knowledgeable about the animals and really cared for them. He then became a Veterinarian Technician at Limestone Companion Animal Hospital where he was beloved by his co-workers and clients for his compassion and how he treated every animal as if it were his own. He worked there for 18 years until his death.
Marks passion for his job and work ethic were second to none but he always put his family first. He was an amazing husband and father. His son described him as, "So much fun to be around. Even when he was tired he would be very helpful around the house. He took care of us. We were always laughing and joking around when he was home. He and I did everything together, he was my best friend." Mark filled their home with so much love and joy. Mark made sure there was never a moment he would miss with his wife and son. There was never any doubt of his immense love for his wife and son.
Mark had a wonderfully giving heart for those close to him. He was always willing to help a neighbor or friend. He could take a dark moment and add that little bit of wit that could change someone’s mood. It was nearly impossible to stay upset around Mark.
Megan would love to have your stories of Mark to add to a Memory Book she is creating for Brendan. If you have good memories of Mark, please take a moment to email them to Megan at [email protected] or bring on paper to the visitation.
