Born June 2, 1947 in Vincennes, Indiana to William K. and Norma J. (Crowe) Roberts. He married Marilyn Elaine Churchill on August 18, 1967. She survives.
Also surviving are one son; Brian (Tonya) Roberts of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Breanna (Corey) Skolek of Bluegrass, Iowa, Bryce and Bethany Roberts, both of Ottawa; two great-grandchildren, Jameson and Collyns Skolek, both of Bluegrass, Iowa; three sisters, Sharon (Danny) Northrup of Trivolli, Inez Gruber of Pekin and Starla Roberts of East Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Roberts and two sisters, Vicki Runnels and Ronda Brewer.
He worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 31 years as a toolmaker, retiring in 1999. He had also worked part time as a Police Officer for many years at Lacon, Stark and as a Sheriff’s Deputy Marshall County Sheriff’s office.
Kenneth enjoyed fishing, hunting, doing yardwork, working around the house and the outdoors. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & crematory in Pekin. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday morning at the funeral home. Burial will be at Penn Ridge in Trivoli.
