

He married the love of his life Arlene Lange on December 10, 1950, in Schobonier, IL. They were married 62 years and were blessed with a loving family including 4 children, Gary of Pekin, Debra Godke (Doug) of Pekin, Thomas (Lauri) of Mapleton, and Robert (Kim) of St Simons Island, GA., 7 grandchildren Christine(Reed) Walbom, Tonya (Jeremie) Davis, Daniel (Anita) England, Mark Sheehan, Lisa (Lloyd) Peterson, Phillip (Olivia) England, and Nick England and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters, one son-in-law, Michael Sheehan, and one daughter-in-law, Shirley England.
A veteran of WW II, he served his nation in the U S Army and was stationed in Korea.
He served the community as a Chiropractor for over 35 years.
He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church as well as the Richland Baptist Church. He was a member of the Optimist and Civil War clubs. He volunteered for the Suicide Hotline, Pekin Hospital and St Joseph’s St Vincent de Paul food pantry. He enjoyed fishing, boating and sports particularly the St Louis Cardinals and U of I basketball. He enjoyed life and continued to participate in college courses well into his nineties. He was a very positive person who did not know a stranger, he enjoyed talking to everyone. He was very involved with his family and was an excellent role model for his children and grandchildren.
Due to covid, a private family service will be conducted. Arrangements are by the Davison Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin, Illinois.
