Born November 27, 1940 in Peoria to Donald L. and Lucille J. (Sciortino) Gilliatt, she married Kenneth R. Schorr, Jr. on March 7, 1964 in Creve Coeur. He died on May 14, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Debra Jean; one sister, Carol Jean Gilliatt; one brother, Donald K. Gilliatt and many other loved ones.
Surviving are four sons, Michael (Sheri) Schorr of East Peoria, Ralph (Jeanette) Schorr of Monroe, Louisiana, Chuck Schorr of Beaufort, South Carolina and Don Schorr of Pekin; one daughter, Cyndy (Todd) Thousand of Pekin; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one brother, Richard Gilliatt of Creve Coeur.
Judi owned and operated Gilliatt Lanes in Creve Coeur with her brothers. Prior to that she owned and operated J & K Laundry Mat in Creve Coeur with her husband as well as working as a beautician.
She enjoyed playing bingo, reading and bowling. She was a youth bowling instructor, volunteered at the food pantry at Creve Coeur Christian Church and was also an election judge. She loved spending time with family and was a caregiver for her parents and her sister, Carol Jean.
Her graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Rev. Cali Lindenfelser will officiate.
