Born November 2, 1943 in Peoria to Richard Crebo and Dorothy (Cheney) Ashburn, she married the love of her life, Melvin B. Perrill, on August 6, 1961 in Peoria.
Surviving are her husband for 60 years; three children, Troy Lynn (Mark) Hill, Cathleen (Chuck) Heck and Marcus (Tracie) Perrill, all of Pekin; five grandchildren, Jacob, Jeffery, Andrew, Jamie and Courtney; seven great-grandchildren; one half-brother, Allen Crebo and one half-sister, Debbie Crebo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Judy was a beautician for many years working at Sadler’s and Cut and Curl Corner. She also had worked in the cafeteria at west campus for Pekin Community High School District 303, American Distilling and Kmart.
She enjoyed traveling, camping in the summertime and most of all, spending time with her family. Her favorite past time was sitting on the back patio reading a good book, going to the movies, bowling, playing Bunko with her friends and watching the Hallmark Channel. Judy volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for many years when her girls were young. Selling Girl Scout cookies, taking the troop on camping trips and helping the girl earn their badges. Judy’s favorite holiday was Halloween, as she loved making handmade costumes, Halloween parties and walking in the Pekin Halloween Parade. She loved to paint and has many paintings.
Judy attended Pekin First Church of God.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Kim Bacon will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
