Born March 19, 1936 in Pekin to Henry Benjamin and Goldie Alma (Conley) Fowler, she married Raymond Howard King on September 23, 1979 in Pekin. He died January 31, 2005 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Larry Eric Hoyle and one sister, Ramona McCormick.
Surviving are three sons, Larry E. Hoyle of North Pekin, Bart (Mary) Hoyle of Pekin and Michael (Veronica) Hoyle of Juneau, Alaska; one daughter, Poleane (Jeff) Knight of Unionville, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and one brother, Henry Richard “Dick” Fowler of Marietta, Georgia.
Jeannine was a longtime school bus driver in Pekin and last worked for Hoyle School Transportation.
Focused on family, she enjoyed babysitting her grandkids and great-grandkids and loved being around them.
She read her Bible every day and was fond of sewing, gardening and painting.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin, where she formerly sang in the choir.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin.
