Born July 30, 1949 in Cairo, Illinois to William and Erma Jean (Merideth) Consley, she married Jackie Dean “Jack” Peters on June 8, 1996 in Pekin. He died July 5, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her father; mother, Erma Jean Strange; step-father, Lloyd Berkley, who helped raise her; and two sisters, Donna Books and Phyllis Jean Consley.
Surviving are one son, Rich (Dee) Justice of Pekin; one daughter, Stacy (Kyle) White of Pekin; five grandchildren, Dalton Justice, Nesa White, and Kelsey Justice, all of Pekin, and Ashley Wubben and Makayla Diegel, both of South Pekin; four great-grandchildren, Kadyn, Brady, Kylie, and Xander; one sister, Pati Jockisch of Pekin; one brother, Tony (Connie) Berkley of Pekin and a special aunt Shirley Davidson.
Lynn had worked for TCRC at the Newlun Center in rural Tremont as a production supervisor, in the office at Pekin Manor, as a hostess at Pekin Estates, and last in housekeeping at the John M. Evans Supportive Living Community in Pekin for 5 years, retiring in 2012.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
Lynn enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, playing bingo, and crossword puzzles. She will be remembered for her love of her family and being a selfless person who always put others first.
A gathering celebrating Lynn’s life will be held at a later date.
