Born April 16, 1952 in Pekin to Stanley Lloyd and Betty Lee (Wilcken) Bartlett, she married Ricky L. “Rick” Hochstetler on April 17, 1998 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Angela Welchel of San Francisco, California; one son, Mark (Stacy) Hochstetler of Edmond, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jack Welchel, Nikolas Welchel, both of San Francisco and Lila Hochstetler, of Edmond, Oklahoma; one brother, Kenny Bartlett of Pekin and one sister, Vicky (Tom) Eckhardt of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Larry Bartlett and one sister, Phyllis Scheuers.
Donna was a 1970 graduate of Pekin Community High School.
She was a hard worker her whole life and last worked as a school bus driver for the City of Pekin. She also had worked at Sunset Lanes in Pekin, where she was a fixture for many years.
She was a member of North Parkway Assembly of God in Pekin, where she was very active in the youth ministry. She also served the church as a board member.
Donna loved her family and her church family, and gave generosity and love to all the children she knew. She was a lifelong runner and loved all animals, especially birds and her beloved dogs, Stella and Grace.
She was an unfailing support, light and life to all who knew her.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022 at North Parkway Assembly of God in Pekin. Pastor Chris Clark and Pastor Tom Eckhardt, her brother-in-law, will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Burial will be in Groveland Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery.
