Born December 2, 1946 in Pekin to Eugene and Betty (Wolgamott) Maquet, he married Janet Alfs on April 8, 1967 in North Augusta, South Carolina. He later married Kim Moore on April 14, 1978 in Pekin.
Surviving are two sons, Dustin (Rebecca) Maquet and Kortney Maquet, both of Pekin; one daughter, Denni Maquet of Pekin; two grandchildren, Charles Maquet and Oliver Maquet, both of Pekin; and one brother, Ronald (Claire) Maquet of Pekin; and his longtime girlfriend, Carol Jennings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Yolanda Sours.
Dennis served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He owned various businesses in the Pekin area.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
His funeral will be at5 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate. Visitation will be from3 to5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following services.
