Deborah "Debbie" L. Flairty

Born March 4, 1951 in Pekin to Robert Allen and Norma L. (Parsons) Roth, she married Robert Lee Flairty on August 8, 1988 in Pekin. He died February 14, 2013 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Shawn Christan Robertson and Brent Lee Flairty.

Surviving are three children, Amber Robertson, Karmen (Ryan) Mayberry, both of Pekin and Klint (Tiffanie) Flairty of Manito; five grandchildren, Shawn (Autumn) Mayberry of Manito, Samantha Mayberry, Sidney Mayberry, both of Pekin, Jaxson Flairty and “Princess” Elise Flairty, both of Manito; two sisters, Bonnie (Charles) Tomasson and Karen (Bob) Martin, both of Lacon and two brothers, Robert (Bev) Roth and David Roth, both of Pekin.

Debbie was a 1969 graduate of Pekin Community High School.

She worked in retail management for 40 years first with the Deb Shop in the Pekin Mall and then with Fashion Bug in East Peoria and then in Pekin.

Her favorite hobby was being with her grandchildren and she loved traveling. Debbie also enjoyed her pool and even cleaning it. She also enjoyed going to the movies and was an enthusiast of paranormal activity.

She was a member of Pekin Women of the Moose Chapter 673.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Brandon Laesch will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
