Born September 28, 1942 in Peoria to and Frank Palm and Ruth (Stuart) Mclean, she married Garold Snyder in Peoria on December 31, 1962. He died June 6, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother and one sister.
Surviving are five children, Arl (Rhonda) Snyder of Manito, Sherry Johnson of Creve Coeur, Kelli Snyder of Germantown Hills, Senel Snyder of Pekin and Tracey (Autumn) Snyder of Hanna City; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Ronald Palm of East Peoria, Michael (Sharon) Palm of Pekin and Francie Perdue of East Peoria.
Carol worked as a social worker for over 30 years at various places including Bridgeway, DCFS and Lutheran Home.
She enjoyed sewing quilts, crocheting and fishing.
Her memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Zach Langloss will officiate. Visitation will be an hour prior at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Kingston Mines Cemetery in Kingston Mines.
There will be a gathering celebrating Carol’s life at 4 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin.
