I am so sorry for the loss of Betty. I worked with her at Arlen's Department Store for five years that was where Value ✔ is located today. Years later I found out we both attended Pekin High School at the same time until I moved. So after many years we reconnected at a class reunion since my husband also went to school with the class of 1966. The last time I saw her we talked about the people we had worked with and our families. She will be missed by her family and friends. Prayers for all.

Betty was the teacher of the Benson Buddies.  This is Blue & White Dinner program in 2003.



My husband and I met Betty through the Pekin Relay for Life. She was a tireless cancer advocate and was admired for her dedication to the fight. She still had so much to give! Our prayers go out to her family.

I was lucky to serve with Betty on the 108 school board. She had a huge heart. My sympathy to have family.

Fred and I have known Betty since we began attending Pekin First Nazarene in 1978.  She loved children and taught the Toddler class for 40 years including teaching our three sons.   She was also part of Caravan Chippewa (4-5 year olds) for several years after she came back from Bridgeway Church, then helped us any way that she could in Caravan.  She helped Fred as a bus monitor for a while when her grandchildren were small.  She had so many incredible talents and we feel privileged to have been part of her life.  She will be missed by so many who enjoyed her ministry.  Thank you, Betty, for a life well lived.  We express our sympathies to all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and brother, Harry and family.
  

i’ve known Betty since about 2010 or 2011 through Relay for Life in Pekin, IL. She first let me join her Relay for Life Team when she saw me sitting @ a table alone @ Relay for Life in Pekin & then she invited me to her church Pekin First Church of The Nazarene & we’ve been friends ever since. She will be dearly missed!!!!!

Betty Scott was a worker and she cared about people.
She loved JESUS and showed it in many ways.
She will be missed.

Sammy(& family), I am so so sorry for your loss. We know she is in heaven rejoicing with our savior but I know you will miss her terribly here on earth. She was absolutely the sweetest lady, always there for anyone. My prayers are with you. 

So sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. I have known Betty since junior High at Washington School. She volunteered for me at Jefferson School when her son and then her granddaughter would come into the Learning Center. She was always willing to help. I know she will be missed by many people.

I know Betty Scott for over 25 years yes we did not see eye to eye all the time but Betty you are a good friend you will be missed tell everybody in heaven I say hello and I will see you on the other side Betty Scott was a good friend of mine

Betty was definitely an individual who wanted to make life better for many, many people.  I met Betty when she was working for Walmart in her early years. She met with a team of teachers, our principal and other of her colleagues explaining that Walmart wanted to help the schools and our community. 
She was a lot of fun and was her own person. 
Betty is now with the angels and her Lord as she is reunited with her loved ones who passed before she passed.
