Arthur Dean Seay

Born July 20, 1927 in Pekin to Arthur Leroy and Marceline Ruth (Hegglund) Seay, he married Marcella Bullington on September 28, 1952 in Pekin.  She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Kathy Lynn (Kelly) Morris of Peoria; one grandson, James Arthur (Patti) Budds of Peoria and one great-grandson, Sean Budds.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Frank Berg; one son, Michael Dean Seay on March 21, 1974 in Pekin and one brother, Robert Seay.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and served in the South Pacific.

Art worked for Commonwealth Edison at the Powerton Station in Pekin for 33 years, retiring in 1985.

He was of the Baptist faith and loved to travel.

His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.  Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, with military rites accorded by the United States Navy and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
