Born November 23, 1944 in Clinton to Albert and Mary (Andrews) Crum, he married Carol Hockaday on June 20, 1997 in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years; one daughter, Mary (Larry) Fox of Wisconsin; one son, Albert (Kasey) Crum, Jr. of Bartonville; two step-children, Charles Barnett, III and Angel Hockaday, both of Pekin; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou Campbell of Tremont and two brothers, Ron (Julie) Crum of Trivoli and Jack (Sue) Crum of East Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter and one sister, Connie Gale.
Al was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Air Force.
He had worked as a truck repairman at Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria and Morton for 40 year and he was a member of the UAW Local 974 in East Peoria. He was also a former member of the Pekin Moose Family Center #916 and Peoria Motorcycle Club.
An avid Green Bay Packers fan, Al enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching NASCAR.
His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Military rites will be provided by the United States Air Force and Tazewell Military Rites Team.
